ABOSULTELY STUNNING...

No one paints better pictures than our Creator!

In an earlier post  I suggested you take in some distant scenic views of Mt. Rushmore (http://lorsconsultingllc.blogspot.com/2010/08/from-distance.html). But what will really leave you in awe are the views in Spearfish Canyon in October. The color is absolutely spectacular.

So make plans next Fall to drive through the Black Hills of South Dakota with camera in hand. If you like to hike, you’ll be glad to know the canyon is cool even when the surrounding temps are in the 90s.

These pictures are links, so you can click on them for a much larger view. However, to be candid, pictures do not do scenic views justice - you need to come to the Black Hills of South Dakota and check out the scenery in person!

To get to Spearfish canyon, get off I-90 at exit 12 and drive about a mile west on E Colorado Blvd, then turn south on Spearfish Canyon Hwy (US 14 Scenic).  If you have a GPS, the north end coordinates are  '44.481871, -103.84449'.  Enjoy your trip and then check out the restaurant at the south end. The food is good.
